Missing Man Found Safe

**** UPDATE EARL HAS BEEN LOCATED****
Earl has been located and is safe and uninjured as of August 16th 2024, at approximately 1:45 PM. After searching for nearly 26 hours and investigating multiple tips and possible sightings, law enforcement was finally able to make contact with Earl just minutes ago. While certain aspects of Earl's disappearance remain ongoing, he has been located and is safe. We would like to thank everyone that provided information and assisted in locating Earl. The outpour of support from the community and assisting agencies was phenomenal.
We would also like to recognize and give a special thanks to the volunteers and multiple assisting agencies that helped in the search for Earl. While there are far too many individuals to name specifically, the Stone County Sheriff's Office would like to personally thank Eric Cavender for volunteering his time and drone service.
Further thanks to the Melrose, Ben, Pleasant Grove, Allison Sylamore, Mountain View, Iron Mountain, Dodd Mountain, Fox, Lone Rock, and Timbo Fire Departments along with the Quapaw K9 Emergency Management Search Team, Stone County Emergency Management, Morgan Nick Foundation, Mennonite Search and Rescue Team, Arkansas State Police, United States Army National Guard, and the Mountain View Police Department for their quick response and assistance.

****MISSING PERSON****
The Stone County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking information on a missing male identified as Lesley Earl Sutterfield, 55, of Mountain View, Arkansas. Earl is a white male approximately 6'2" weighing 162 lbs. Earl has red hair and blue eyes and was reportedly last seen on August 15, 2024, at his residence located on Iron Mountain Road in Mountain View, Arkansas. Earl was last known to be wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt of unknown color, twisted X cowboy boots and on foot. Earl did not have his phone on him, but it is believed that he has medications on his person. Earl does not have any reported medical issues such as Dementia or Alzheimer's.
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 11:03 a.m. The Stone County Sheriff's Office took a missing person report from the family of Earl on Iron Mountain Road just outside of Mountain View. Last contact with him was made by his daughter at approximately 3:30 AM by phone. Family members began searching the area near Earls residence at approximately 7:30 AM after it was discovered he was missing. The Stone County Sheriff's Office was then contacted and an immediate ground search was conducted by members of the Stone County Sheriff's Office utilizing the K-9 tracking unit. The Sheriff's Office was subsequently assisted by multiple fire departments along with a drone without result. Currently an aerial search is being coordinated utilizing a helicopter.
To date, Earl remains missing, and we are asking for the public's help in locating him. If you have any information in regard to Earl's whereabouts, please contact the Stone County Sheriff's Office.
