MISSING or ENDANGERED PERSONS

On the morning of September 14, 2016, the White River Area Agency on Aging reported an employee had not returned from her appointed home visit the previous day and the company van she was driving was also missing. That afternoon the employee was located alive and well. The employee had made a wrong turn onto a rural mountain road and became stuck. It was due to the dedicated work of first responders that this missing persons case had such a tremendous outcome. Sheriff Lance Bonds would like to thank the following agencies for the quick and successful response. The National Forrest Service, The Arkansas State Forrest Commission, the Mountain View Police Department, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Department, the Searcy County Sheriff’s Department, the Stone County Office of Emergency Management, the Stone County Civil Air Patrol, and the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigations Division.
