Ozark-St. Francis Forest managers reopen Sylamore Ranger District recreation areas

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Sylamore District recreation areas temporarily closed during a search for a known felon are now reopened.
The areas reopened are the North Sylamore Creek Hiking Trail, the Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail, Gunner Pool, Barkshed, and the Blanchard Springs day use area, including Mirror Lake.
Guided tours at Blanchard Springs Caverns were not affected and remained open.
The wanted felon, Samuel Ray, who was last seen at Gunner Pool Campground on Sept. 9, is presumed to be out of the area.
